When merchants migrate from BigCommerce to Shopify, one of the biggest frustrations we hear about is how difficult it is to manually sort products in Shopify collections. Shopify’s native collection interface only loads 15 products at a time. If your collection has more than that, you’ll see a “Show more products” link that loads the next set of 15 items.
That means if you have:
- 60 products
- 120 products
- or several hundred products in a collection
You’ll find yourself repeatedly clicking “Show more products” just to load the items you want to move.
And it doesn’t stop there.
Even once the products are visible, Shopify requires you to move items one at a time. There’s no way to select multiple products and move them together.
For merchants trying to organize collections, promote seasonal products, highlight best sellers, or simply maintain a logical product order, this can turn into a very time-consuming task.
