Managing an online store can be a challenging task, especially when it comes to updating product prices. For BigCommerce store owners, updating the regular price, sale price, cost price, and retail price of products can be a tedious chore, particularly if you’re doing it one by one in the store editor. Many store owners wish for an easier way to handle bulk price updates, especially for sale prices. The good news is, there’s a solution that can save time and effort: the Bulk Price Updater Tool from Your Store Tools.
The Challenge of Manual Price Updates
In the fast-paced world of eCommerce, time is of the essence. Manually updating prices for each product is not only time-consuming but also prone to errors. Imagine the hassle of adjusting prices one by one for a store with hundreds or thousands of products. This method is inefficient and can lead to significant delays in reflecting the market changes in your store. Additionally, during special events like Black Friday or holiday sales, quick and accurate price adjustments are crucial to stay competitive.
The Bulk Price Updater Tool: A Game-Changer for BigCommerce Stores
Your Store Tools offers a revolutionary tool that simplifies the process of updating prices: the Bulk Price Updater Tool for BigCommerce. This tool is designed to help store owners update various price types – regular price, sale price, cost price, and retail price – in a bulk and streamlined manner.
How Does the Tool Work?
The Bulk Price Updater Tool operates in a straightforward and user-friendly way. Store owners need to create a CSV file containing only the item SKU and the new prices. This simplicity eliminates the need to navigate through multiple product pages or deal with complex file formats.
The process is as follows:
- Prepare the CSV File: The CSV file should a column for the item SKU and a column for each of the price fields you want to update (price, sale price, cost price, retail price). One of the main benefits of this tool is that you don’t need to know the BigCommerce product id for the item, it works off the item’s SKU saving even more time!
- Upload the File: Once the CSV file is ready, upload it to the Bulk Price Updater Tool on the Your Store Tools website.
- Execute the Update: The tool processes the CSV file and updates the prices on your BigCommerce store in bulk.
This method not only saves time but also reduces the likelihood of errors that can occur with manual entry.

Does this work on variants as well? Many of my products have 20-30 variants on them, want to make sure this doesn’t just update the base price SKU of the product.
