While based in the Los Angeles area, Your Store Wizards has team members in many different locations thanks to our flexible “work from anywhere” policy we adopted long before working from home was commonplace.
In fact, our talented team of Wizards not only calls California home, but we have roots in Florida, Pennsylvania, New York, Arizona, and in the tropical sunshine of the Dominican Republic where one of our eCommerce Store Development teams is located.
Recently that team, led by Julio Arzeno, traveled to a remote town in the Dominican called Yassica in the province of Puerto Plata. Accessible only by foot, the team walked 30 minutes to this impoverished village where they provided 12 families with food, clothes, and medical supplies.
“The people who live in this community are poor, but are rich in love and kindness,” Julio says. “We gave them material things and in return, they showed us how much love and happiness the things we take advantage of mean to them.”
The day-long adventure was a rewarding experience for our team and at the end of the day, all were treated to a meal of traditional Dominican dishes cooked up by families as a thank you.
