eCommerce store owners know the best way to lure customers in is to give them a deal that is irresistible! Whether you’re offering free shipping over a certain dollar amount, a bonus gift with purchase, a percentage off with a coupon code, or some other deal, these all contribute to higher conversion rates.
BigCommerce store owners have the ability to create discount options ranging from free shipping, to tiered category-wide discounts, to “BOGO” product discounts with the built-in Promotions Manager.
BigCommerce Enterprise level store owners now can take their promos to a new level with the introduction of the Promotions Manager: Advanced Editor. The Advanced Editor is powerful and easy to use, and the new interface has flexible rule creation that opens up the ability to:
- Schedule each promotion based on your needs
- Create fixed price promotions, allowing you to offer several products at a set price
- Include or exclude products, based on the promotion
- Build discounts tailored for your customers
- Set up conditional promotions driven by your own unique workflow
The Advanced Editor allows you to stack promotions as you build them out, creating hundreds of possible combinations, enabling you to create unique promotions for your store. Below are some of the most popular supported promotion types:
Product Discounts: In this example, the store owner has set up a promo where if the customer purchases 2 mugs they will receive a free teaspoon.
Order Discounts: The Advanced Editor lets you create percentage discounts that change with order value. In this example, the store owner has set up a promo where if the customer spends $100 they will get 10% off the order. Spend $300, get 20% off the order. Spend $500, get 25% off the order.
Fixed Price Discounts: If you want to offer an item bundle at a set price, you can do so by creating fixed price discounts in the Advanced Editor. In this example, the store owner created a promo offering customers a special price if they bought three shirts from the “business shirts” category in their store.
The new Promotions Manager: Advanced Editor tool has been designed to allow BigCommerce store owners to build powerful, robust discounts and promotions guaranteed to increase conversions and sales.
The Advanced Editor is available for BigCommerce Enterprise customers only and can be accessed by navigating to Marketing › Promotions in the control panel. Click + Create and select “with advanced editor.”
